May is usually a bit slow in the islands. The winter vacation season is finished . And the summer vacation season for North Americans has not yet begun. But slow here at the villas in May ? Not this year. Again, the month of May was VERY busy here. It has become “Birthday Month” . And it was started a few
years ago by Bomba, Griz, and Ryno ( and some others).. It has become a villas tradition and seems to have caught on. This year we added guests Crazzed,
Travis, and Marquis ( De Sade).. Yes. That is his real name. We celebrated their birthdays and also Bomba, Ryno, and Griz en absentia.

The most memorable birthday this month was for Marquis. He was here to celebrate his 30th birthday. It seems that the birthdays on the decades marks( 30 , 40, 50, 60 ) are always the most memorable. And even MORE MEMORABLE if celebrated here at the villas with the girls.

Marquis is a quiet guy, but the other guests and the girls pulled him into a great celebratory week. This was his first trip to the villas , so he was fortunate to have repeat guest and young compatriot Austin Powers ” International Man of Finance” here at the villas. . Austin, normally a resident of south Manhattan, was just returning from a 2 year assignment working in the Asian markets of Manilla, Singapore, Bangkok, and Shanghai. If you know Austin , it was NOT all work and no play. He had some great stories to tell about the ladies in those cities. And , in the end ( pardon the pun), he said that he found none finer than the girls here in the DR. So Austin and the girls took Marquis out to celebrate for one really big night in Sosua. And they did a “Sosua VIP Tour” like no other. They consumed 3 large “magnum’ bottles of Grey Goose and returned to the villas at 6 AM, just in time for the sun rise.

Then later that night, after resting up , they celebrated his birthday at the villas with a birthday cake and 69 candles ( a villas tradition ). And also a human sundae with a naked Marciel lying on the bar of the new Crows Nest bar at the Pirates Grotto Villa. She was “wearing” only a tiny whipped cream bikini with sprinkles. And everyone enjoyed eating the whipped cream. ( the only rule is no hands please). LOL

Later that week we had a “no show” . With no Emails, no calls, and no apologies. Just poor Joel wasting 3 hours in the airport at Puerto Plata holding his sign…… MIKE C. You missed a great week Mike. But no worries. New guest HP, a former basketball player.and well known jaz musician , arrived . You may ask ” Basketball and jazz music ?”  Well, yes, why not ? Both require a special “touch”. It was interesting. HP was here on his first visit to the villas. And when he walked in to the Welcome Party the girls gave him a loud round of applause. So he was taken a back by 8 beautiful bikini clad chicas giving him such an enthusiastic greeting.

He had read many of the posts on our Discussion Board on the web page and took the advice of some of our guests who said ” When you first arrive, to break the ice and feel right at home , just grab a girl and do a PARDEE. So, HP asked the girls, “Who wants to have a PARDEE ? ” Well……. they all jumped up and down and said , ME , ME, ME.! He was so overwhelmed and not wanting to leave anyone out he said,” OK, all of you “. So unknowingly, he set a new villas record for the number of girls in ONE THROW. They broke the record and they broke the king size bed.

NOTE the previous record was 5 chicas in one throw. Held jointly by Bomba and two other guests. But 8 eight ! Can you imagine ? But Bomba still holds the 24 hour record of 12 throws in a day.

After the birthday celebrations we welcomed, in the same week, Woodsmith and cousin Ty (real cowboys fro Montana), Carlito (Crazzed), good friends B and K from New York , and also sports doctor and surgeon U.R.L. here to do some wind surfing and work on his cardio exercises with the girls. LOL B and K were a little tentative ( this can’t be for real) when they made their reservations so they only reserved for 3 days and 2 nights. Then they were truly sorry when they left that they had not reserved for a week.

I just want to say to everyone HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, or FELIZ DIA DE MAMACITAS. You know that In the USA, Mothers Day comes at the beginning of May. But not here on the island. No kidding . It is celebrated here the LAST Sunday of May. So we want to wish a FELIZ DIA DE MAMACITAS to all of the girls ( yes, a few are single mothers) . But just so that you know, the word MAMA in Spanish is mother. But the word MAMACITAS translates literally as little mothers. But it really means HOTTIES.

During the months of April and May we also welcomed two European “brothers” in different weeks., Menem and Henri. From Denmark and from Finland. This was Henri’s first visit to our villas, but Menem has been here a couple of times before. And once in a crazy party week of Halloween. But quieter this week Before we finish this newsletter we want to thank other guests of honorable mention. Rugbyman, Travis, Big Kris, Nicolas ( whose son is a MLB pitcher), and Matt ( called Erizo or SPIKE by the girls). Erizo paid his deposit for Halloween before he left. So now we have a total of four (4) guests already reserved with deposits for Halloween Week. It should be quite a party with 8 guests in the Pirates Grotto and Sandcastle Villas on the beach

We need to rest up later this week and recharge the batteries for the month of June. It could be .an eventful month with two weeks of WORLD CUP celebrations and also the NBA finals. You know, when the “crazy shit” becomes commonplace and I am not motivated to write a newsletter I should remember what they say in the tequila ads on television. “Always have a story” o r” Live life to the fullest” . And NEVER accept the commonplace.
