A Brief Note From Magnum

It’s a perfect start to a new year, sitting here in the early afternoon sun on the terrace of the Surf Rider Villa. Enjoying the view of the Atlantic Ocean and a few girls sitting , and chatting at the edge of the pool below with their feet in the water. It’s one of those special times enjoying the company of some “mates” here at the villa with some good Cuban cigars and some chatter about New Years past at the Margarita Island Villas (more news about that later, to inform about the Dec 6 elections and new government there – YES ! ). The conversation is interrupted just briefly by a couple of girls bringing us some “hang over drinks”.

It is surprising how good everyone feels considering that last night was the New Years Eve for us at OJOS’S BEACH CLUB. We had quite a few bottles of Stoli vodka and at least one bottle of SIGLO DE ORO rum. Then arriving back at the villas after 1 AM. With the girls still wanting to party and suggesting a strip tease contest with body shots , a whipped cream and sprinkles human sundae, and Fatima organizing a “lesbi show”.

What a year ! Reservations for 30 at the beach club on the rooftop VIP terrace , drinks, music, dancing, and spectacular fireworks out over the beach below. And the after party at the villas .

It gas been one of those exceptional weeks here at the villas . Two villas ( the Surf Rider and the VIP Villas ) with 20 chicas and 9 guests from 4 different countries ( and no Canadians -TABERNAC ). Two chefs, two housekeepers , two vans with Joel and cousin Primo. And with Indiana and I doing the concierge services .

This was one of those weeks to “test our mettle” in what we can do with a larger group. Since we are usually just 4 or 5 guests in one of our private villas in a more intimate ambiance. But I think that the week was enjoyed by all.

It was a super farewell to 2015, and an excellent welcome to 2016. I know that this not my usual “short story” of a newsletter about personalities and events here at the villas. But I promise one will be forthcoming . Another chapter in the “novela” that is mywildvacation. This is our 16th year !
